Our case study is the Special Plan of Puerto Norte in Rosario-Argentina. Through a critical-interpretative analysis, we focus on the impacts relating to: regulatory update; socio-spatial segregation; recovery of public spaces and the valuation of heritage/identity. The reflections resulting from this case contribute to knowledge of and debate on the experience of Large Urban Projects in Latin America, especially concerning the importance of the multi-sectoral and multi-actor approach that their complex problems require.
