In this work, we present the technical details of the construction of a thermometer in which the temperature measurements are audible. Initially planned to serve visually impaired students in practical thermometry activities, the design is perfectly adaptable to measure a variety of other physical magnitudes. The project is based on the Arduino Uno board and the shield for Arduino dedicated to playing sound files (Arduino MP3 shield player). The temperature measurement is performed using the DS18B20 digital sensor that operates in the range of −55 to +125 oC. The whole project is easy to build and the components used are accessible and easily found in the local market
