Flora of the canga of the Serra dos Carajás, Pará, Brazil: Gentianaceae

Abstract This work presents a taxonomic study of the Gentianaceae from the canga of the Serra dos Carajás. Seven species belonging to five genera were found: Chelonanthus viridiflorus, Chelonanthus purpurascens, Coutoubea ramosa, Curtia tenuifolia, Schultesia benthamiana, Voyria tenella, including a new species described here, Voyria alvesiana E.F.Guim. T.S. Mendes & N.G. Silva sp. nov..
