ABSTRACT The open access triggered the increase in the number of repositories and libraries that offer open educational resources. The word “open” leads to a reflection of what are the copyrights involving this concept, and if users are informed about these rights. The objective of this research is to analyze the information provided to users about copyright and licenses, in Brazilian educational repositories. It was concluded that minimal information was not made available to Internet users in the majority of the analyzed repositories. Access to information allows for more qualified user’s choices to exercise their rights, and the failure of the subject matter information may cause offense to the author’s rights.
