This paper, based on the European Values Study, European Social Survey and International Social Survey Programme, discusses the evolution of Portuguese youth religiosity in the period between 1990 and 2016, comparing it with the population aged 29 or older, based on four topics: community, belief, practice and norm. The topics “community”, “practice”, and “norm” decrease, although “practice” may be stabilized. The topic “belief”, Christian and non-Christian, increases or keeps the same value. The topics “community”, “practice” and “norm” are less representative in young people, while the topic “belief”, Christian or non-Christian, is more or equally representative in young people. The paper contributes in the analysis of the youth religiosity in Portugal in a more comprehensive way than it is currently done.
