The challenges of professional qualification in physical education for the health area: an interpretation from area newspapers

Abstract This article investigates the challenges produced in the qualification process for the Physical Education area in the health field. A literature review is held in eight periodicals in the field of Physical Education. After analyzing the content, three interpretative axes were found: the integration of teaching-service; the humanization/magnification of the process in the conception of health-disease; the dichotomies and internal differentiation in the area. Such analysis indicates challenges that protect some approximations and crossovers that come to influence the formation of policies in the health field.
